Picture for I was able to quickly locate lots of very after i had been determined with colon cancer in march 2001, i began looking for information on the internet about the subject. I was able to quickly locate lots of very good websites with plenty of material over colon cancer the diagnosis, prevention, prognosis, chemotherapy, etc. ., but experienced considerable difficulty in finding a single site which summarized experimental therapies under development specifically , which was orientated colon cancer in a type of this i found useful. I soon discovered that unfortunately my doctors were not always aware of the experimental drugs and trials I was finding, and concluded that if I didn't find out more about these things myself, no one else was going to do it for me. Feeling overwhelmed with unorganized information scattered everywhere, I decided to create for myself an HTML document containing links to the many websites of interest in order to help me organize my own thoughts and research. It occurred to me that this document might be of use to others as well, so I decided to put it up on the Web. You won't find any fancy graphics or other clever programming on this page, as I have little time to create such luxuries. Some sections of the page are better developed than others, reflecting my interests and time to work on them. What I would consider the "best developed" sections would be those on Biologic Agents (Monoclonal Antibodies, Cancer Vaccines) and the sections on Celebrex/Lovastatin (Celebrex is one of the few "alternative therapies" I could find which have serious suggestions of efficacy in the peer reviewed medical literature, although to date there have been no clinical trials proving efficacy in humans for colorectal cancer). If you are interested in "what is going on" with new drug development, but are having a hard time in "putting it all together", you have come to the right place. I plan on updating the page regularly, you can always see the latest date this has occurred at the top. The date you will see next to each item on the page is the date I first located that item - as of that date, the link was working. If you would like to e-mail me, my address is altman23@cs.com. I plan on improving the website as I have time, reorganizing and creating seperate pages for some of the topics. Any suggestions for additions to the page or comments are always welcome.
